Madden 21 Player Rating:DeAndre Hopkins Joins Madden 99 Club

The new player rating has been officially released in Madden 21. According to U4GM, the Asanlina Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins officially joined the 99 club in this rating, except for DeAndre. In addition to Hopkins, the notable player in this rating update is the New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas. DeAndre Hopkins joins club 99

On Thursday morning, EA dropped the big news about the latest player to move up to a 99 overall rating. An impressive “miracle” catch late in a win against the Buffalo Bills is what got DeAndre Hopkins entry into the Madden 99 Club. That catch helped Arizona edge out Buffalo, 32-30.

In addition, DeAndre Hopkins recorded seven receptions for 127 yards. That boosted the Cardinals' record to 6-3, with the team set to play Thursday night in a big rematch with the Seattle Seahawks. Hopkins shared the news as did his team about the Madden 99 Club on Twitter.

DeAndre Hopkins joins seven other players in the 99 Club including an opponent in tonight's game, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, who joined in the past few weeks. There is also last year's cover star Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) and WR Michael Thomas (Saints) , with the latter falling out (see below). Also in the club are DT Aaron Donald (Rams), CB Stephon Gilmore (Patriots), and running back Christian McCaffrey (Panthers).

Michael Thomas withdraws from the 99 club

When DeAndre Hopkins joined the Madden 99 club, the New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas regretfully quit the Madden 99 club. At the beginning of the season, Michael Thomas appeared in Madden 21 as a member of the 99 club, but unfortunately, Michael Thomas was injured in the first week of the season and only played in the ninth week. In his two games back, he's accumulated just seven catches for 78 yards and zero touchdowns, so it's no surprise that he's dropping out of the elite 99 Club ahead of Week 11. The Madden Ratings Adjustor team lowered his rating by two points, now Michael Thomas has a total rating of 97 OVR in the game.
